 It is a legal requirement that those involved
in this subject attend and pass an approved training course in order to be aware of the
various regulations and requirements. All candidates must have already completed the IATA basic training course.ICAO/IATA and the IMDG regulations
incorporated the TS-R-I which are the most current Radioactive Materials regulations.
The United States has not adopted
the new regulations in full, therefore, it is important that candidates are aware that in
order to be in full compliance, both the IATA and the 49 CFR regulations are used.

requirements, in full.
Those personnel who have already
received initial training must attend a refresher training course within 24 months of the
last certification for IATA.
